Are UGGs UGGly?

Chere Readers,

At my school I’ve observed some trends.  There are some pretty basic ones, like Justice yoga pants, and then there are the backpacks.  And when I say backpacks I don’t mean the organizational ones with pockets, and zippers, and sleeves to hold pencils and pens.  No I mean the ones with the big flap on the top and a buckle.  I’ll admit, some are stylish.  Yet they’re not exactly functional for school.

And the UGGs.  Don’t get me started on the UGGs.  The original brown and black boots are fine.   But when you start adding sequins, and tie-dye, and multiple colors, that’s when it gets crazy.  I don’t mean to sound snobbish, but wearing the same type of outfit every day is quite boring.  And plain.

So there are these backpacks:

Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014 Video Series

Chere Readers,

While I can not yet go to fashion week I can find pictures on the internet.  But, after a while, even that is not glamorous enough to fit the needs of someone as elegant as me.  I need to hear the music.  I need to see the people.  I need to see the makeup.  I need to see the city. So you can tell why pictures just don’t suit my needs.  So I took on the task of finding a video series to watch the highlights of fashion week.  Voila!

Cage City

Chere Readers,

I’ve been searching over the internet for websites with clothes to gawk at.  There’s many sites out there, but I’ve taken a liking to Cage City.  There’s a vintage clothing boutique, which had  which you all know I love, handmade clothes, which can be expensive, and of course, the unique clothes I always search for.  So I present to you my Cage City picks!  *All photos are from Cage City’s website.  I take no credit for any of these pictures.*

Also, sorry they’re blurry.  This just seems to be another technical problem to test my patience, like the many I’ve been having lately.

The Grammy Awards 2014: The Good, the Bad and the Great

Chere Readers,

While I don’t enjoy actually watching the Grammy Awards, they’re quite boring, (yes I know I’m weird), I do like looking at pictures of the fashion afterwards.  And it is truly fun to look at celebrities and judge their outfits. Even my 6 and 7 year old sisters enjoy laughing at the stars wearing ridiculous outfits.

Katy Perry:

Katy Perry has her crazy moments in terms of fashion.  But sometimes she actually finds a way to wear something normal, like in this case.  But anyhow, I really love how classy this outfit is.  She looks like a princess.  The white silhouette is truly simple, but the music notes make it truly Katy Perry.  Her natural makeup with dramatic hair balances it all out.  I give it a 9/10

Steal her Style Ariana Grande

Chere Readers,

So I’ve been reading fashion magazines lately, and I recently came across a lovely little site by Anna Keledd.  It’s also a fashion blog, and she has a really fun,  yet normal sense of style.  Usually when I look at fashion blogs I feel as if everyone wears ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS and NOT AT ALL  normal clothes in my opinion.

Her blog introduced me to a darling little site called ‘Steal her Style.’  It’s pretty much what’d you’d expect, so there’s no need to explain.  But it’s really fun to look at when you’re crushing on a celebrities wardrobe.

That’s when Ariana Grande comes in.  While she also has some ridiculously crazy outfits, which celebrities don’t?  But most of the time her clothes are actually quite cute.  So, I tried to pick out some pictures you can actually try to recreate.  Not her footy pajamas ( which you should honestly never wear out the house), and other things like that.

Bloggers Design Bags!?!

Chere Readers,

Lacoste and some well known fashion bloggers have decided to create a new collection.  There are three bloggers that participated.  Each and every blogger designed a bag fitting their own personal style.   Aimee Song, of songofstyle.com designed the grey bag the city embroidery.  Katie Rodgers of paperfashion.net designed the white bag with the picture of a girl on the side.  Erica Domesek of PSimadethis.com designed the white bag with beauty accessories on it.

Loving Her Look OOTD: The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far from the Tree

Chere Readers,

“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”  Well in this case. that’s true.

My mother is very stylish, always using the pictures from her magazines to create looks I envy.  So it’s only natural I love fashion…. And well, I’m pretty stylish myself.

So finally, I realized if I wasn’t wearing my best pieces of work, why not photograph her outfits?  I don’t know why I didn’t realize this sooner.  She always wears chic things when we go out.  So you might be able to look forward to more from my mom( if she doesn’t get tired of me taking her picture.)

Paris Spring/Summer 2014 Street Style

By 22 Jan 2014 3 No tags Permalink 0

Chere Readers,

As you all know it’s January and in Paris that’s Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion Week. I thought the street style could be more inspiring than the actual clothes. While they are divine, they are quite hard to recreate.  There more of something to gaze and dream about than to actually try to wear.

So enjoy this selection of spectacular street style looks I have picked out:

Pollini Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Chere Readers,

The Pollini Spring/Summer 2014 collection was a delightful assortment of bright and nude colors with marble heels.  There were charming, rich shades like mahogany, and lemon yellow.  I especially like the yellow shoes with the dark blue marble heels.

But at a close second comes the white satiny looking heels with mahogany heels.  The dainty white against the dark looming brown looks quite different.  Yet they seem so coherent.
