Dear Readers,
The time has come for the Pre-Fall 2014 fashion shows to premiere. I am taking advantage of it being the weekend to cover some of my favorite shows from the comfort of my home. One of my favorite blogs always covers Burberry, and they always look good. So I’ve decided to do a post for her, since she doesn’t have one up. Okay, lets get started.
I really like this collection this Fall. There’s a lot of variation in what the designer did here. There’s some casual overlapping, like here, and some cooler, more interesting pieces too. The chunky sweater has a doodle like design, and it looks really warm. I need one of those. It’s been 18 degrees Fahrenheit outside and we had a fire drill. So no coats, and for some people they were wearing gym clothes. SO yes, this would be a good investment. And I like the t-shirt underneath. I think it’s the Seattle Space Needle, or something like that. But it’s a really fun shirt to have. I like how artsy the shirt looks, and how it matches the sweater.
This is really classy, yet it’s anew take on the professional look. Everyone wears blazers with button down shirts, and heels. And everyone wears pencil skirts with that. But no one wears a furry skirt. The designer managed to make it look very chic, and fun, instead of crazy and child like. And who wouldn’t want to wear that purse. It’s so classic, and Italian, but it totally matches.
While the baggy forms of the dress doesn’t compliment the model’s form, the print is original. In fact, it’s more than original. It’s whimsical. It looks like a coat, but paired with the right things it could also be a dress, And the peep toe wedges are really punk. I like the lace up front , and the zipper.
I love this! The printed jeans and skirt are electrifying, even with the hunter green color. The whole thing is kind of straightforward, Yet, it looks so lavishing. The big spots of fur, add contrast to the non textured jacket. I love how high the jeans and skirt are pulled up too. They remind me of high waisted shorts, except they’re pants, and well of course skirts. And adding the extra baggy part of the tucked in shirt, complements the super skinny jeans, and cinched waist.
For some reason this seems so modern Italian princess. I love the cut at the leg. It seems so evil queen. The deep blue with flowers for some reason reminds me of Italy. I don’t know why, maybe because it seems so perfect. Like the architecture. While the dress was already perfect, it seemed a little out of place from the funky line. So I totally understand why they added the jacket. it is a really different style than the dress but they go together perfectly. It also seems so Italian, probably because of the leather.
This dress can be kind of dizzying. But the way the fabric is folded or designed or sewed makes it seems like the whole thing is made of studs. It’s a phenomenal effect. Something that must have taken a lot of time to design and “invent” this dress. And the bronze color is so different from the usual silver studs you see on punk clothing. But the one with purple and red fabric is really hard to distinguish. I still can’t tell if it’s one piece of fabric, or a holed jersey fabric over the top. Plus the red is super metallic, which is a trend this Fall.
